My musical journey began at the age of 5 when I first picked up a violin, igniting a passion that would shape my future as a musician.
I pursued my musical education at the Etobicoke School of the Arts, focusing on the violin while also achieving Royal Conservatory certificates in Violin (Grade 10), Piano (Grade 8), and Theory (Advanced Rudiments, Harmony). Currently, I’m dedicated to furthering my skills and am working towards obtaining my A.R.C.T. in violin.
Under the guidance of renowned instructors like Elaine Overholt, Orville Heyn, and Zack Werner, I’ve cultivated a versatile vocal skill set encompassing classical and pop styles. Their expertise has not only enhanced my performance abilities but also fueled my passion for songwriting. With a focus on authenticity and connection, I’m dedicated to helping my students unlock their full vocal potential and express themselves confidently in any musical genre.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of performing, writing, and collaborating with local artists across the Greater Toronto Area. From intimate venues like the Free Times Café to prestigious stages such as the Toronto Centre for the Arts and the Mod Club Theatre, I’ve honed my craft since the age of 5. Notable highlights include opening for Tyler Shaw and Dan Talevski and winning the Rise 2 Fame Talent Search at the Western Fair.
In addition to solo performances, I’ve contributed my talents to various orchestral ensembles, including the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra and the Brampton Rose Orchestra, as well as serving as a pit musician for several musical theatre productions.
For me, music is about embracing fearlessness and taking risks, both on stage and in life. I’ve been sharing my passion and knowledge as a music teacher for over 10 years, believing in nurturing creativity and resilience in my students. Drawing from my experience and training, including principles from the Suzuki method and the Royal Conservatory of Music, I strive to inspire and guide each student on their own musical journey.
When I’m not teaching or performing, you’ll likely find me indulging in my passion for podcasts and books, especially true crime mysteries—I’m a recent Forensic Psychology graduate, after all! At home, I’m accompanied by my two cherished cats, Riley and Charlie, who love to hang out with me in the studio.
Join me on this musical journey—let’s explore the endless possibilities of music together!
